How many dogs do you currently own? Do some of them get dandruff often? Maybe its the shampoo that you are using or maybe they are just a specific breed that is more susceptible to getting dandruff. Whatever the case may be you should be focusing on how to get rid of dandruff on dogs if this is going on. We all hate dandruff on us what makes you think a dog wants to be covered in it? That is correct, they would much rather not have to deal with it. However they have no possible way to tell you this. Sure maybe they will whine but you have no idea that they want their dandruff removed. Dogs get dandruff so severe that it can cause some very intense itching. Dogs will scratch their skin until it bleeds which can also in the future cause infection. So if that is not a good enough reason to help your dog get rid of dandruff I do not know what is.
While I may not know everything about canines I do know some simple remedies for dandruff. Since I have had a dog of my own for about six years I have tried almost everything. Every dog will react differently to these remedies so if your dog does not benefit from these remedies you just have to try something else. If you think that these remedies are not going to work go to your local vet instead. All that really matters is that you do something to help your dog. Everybody and everything needs a little bit of help sometimes and dogs are not the exception.
1. Coconut Oil
You should try coconut oil for dog dandruff. I know this sounds like a very weird and odd thing to do but its actually pretty successful. Rub the coconut oil all over your dogs body and let it sit for about an hour. Rinse and repeat this process daily for a few weeks.
2. Olive Oil
Olive oil will do essentially the same thing that coconut oil will do. It will moisturize the skin to help remove the dandruff over time. Do the same thing with olive oil every day and see if it helps.
3. Oatmeal
Another really popular one is oatmeal. Great if you want to learn how to get rid of dandruff on dogs. Oatmeal baths will prove to be successful for many years to come.
